Job Duties
Managing Big Data, Data Load, ETL, and SQL operations; Developing software testing frameworks using programming languages including C#, Java, JavaScript, and Python; Automating IT based tasks with Jenkins, Argo CD or other automation software. This is specific to creating timed automated tasks that will perform an action such as file copying, running a "reusable automated test suite" at a specific time or ad-hoc time, populating results of previously executed test automation; Ensure test plans and scenarios fully exercise every aspect of the product; Work with company leadership on evaluations, pilots, implementation and adoption of externally purchased testing software, adoption and usage of external code libraries for use in existing testing frameworks; Assist in the recruiting and hiring process; Serve as a decision-maker for employee organizational structure and team reorganization for the customer support testing team; Manage direct reports daily, providing guidance and key support for each person's role on the QA test team on a 1:1 person level; Manage work coverage of the entire team to ensure all customer development tickets are assigned to a developer/tester and scheduled into an appropriate sprint; Communicate status on sprint work, team progress, and special projects to upper management via face-to-face meetings and written communication on a daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly and annual basis; Manage Performance of direct reports: Provide reporting on resource capacity, allocation, and productivity; Analyze and optimize team workloads and schedules to ensure efficient utilization of resources for maximum coverage workload for current and planned sprint work, as well as ad-hoc work; Optimizing team activities to ensure direct reports are performing efficiently in their daily duties; Utilize 9-box analysis to evaluate employee performance and potential; Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine employee retention or separation decisions; Analyze performance metrics to identify underperforming employees and recommend appropriate actions; Determine a plan for cross-training QA resources throughout the department; Collaborate with HR and management to develop strategies for workforce optimization; Annual Performance Reviews. Review the annual performance of direct reports based on work activities and daily performance throughout the year. Also reviewing the progress of personal goal for each direct report; Create, Manage, and coach each direct report on company roll down goals and personal goals on a weekly basis. Updating progress percentage and realigning based on employee's ability and aptitude; Major Incidents: Serve as key point of contact for customer support team for the handling of Major Incidents. This includes joining conference calls (any time of day), triaging incidents from a software testing standpoint and Isolating test areas and test cases to cover the incident scenario(s), as well as assigning the appropriate personnel to work on the incident(s); Sprint Testing: Act as a key point of contact for QA activities and communicate testing progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders throughout the R&D and Support and Product organizations. Position is eligible for 100% remote work.
Requires:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Healthcare, or related field (or foreign equivalent) and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in a system management-related occupation.
Alternative Requirements:
Master's degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Healthcare, or related field (or foreign equivalent) and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a system management-related occupation.
Requires experience with the following special skills:
Performing Quality Assurance processes; Managing Big Data, Data Load, ETL, and SQL operations; Developing applications using programming languages including C#, Java, JavaScript, and Python; Utilizing test management software including Programming Language: Rally, JIRA, Xray, Zephyr, qTest and Agile; Automating tasks with Jenkins or other automation software; Architect solutions to leverage the AWS platform, including standard modeling diagrams and user experience design patterns; Designing, debugging, and executing Automation test scripts using Selenium WebDriver, and pyTest; Leading and managing people; Executing software testing, software development, automation and management.
