Duties:
• Lead the Hardware Technology Strategy definition:
o Drive the next generation technologies into pipeline ahead of product and project lifecycle, with internal teams and strategic suppliers well aligned. The baseline includes but is not limited to new Customer Requirements, the Lessons Learned in previous and current designs, supply chain resilience, best cost design and the technology trends analysis (including new material, new tool, new component in these technology fields).
o With 3-10 years technology plan in mind and close work relationship with sourcing and engineering teams, take responsibility to leverage and regulate the roadmap of strategic suppliers.
o Define the procedure and criteria to evaluate and onboard the new hardware solutions, in coherent with highest level of expertise in the field of knowledge and considering the best balance between performance, quality, timing and cost.
• Advanced Technology Development:
o Participate in advance development projects (ADP) to realize positive change for customer projects and HW platforms.
o In some ADPs, play a leading role, following the development plan, researching innovative concepts and ideas. ADPs are to be extraordinarily innovative projects with a profound impact in the organization.
• RFQ HW Advisor:
o Hold a centric position during the request for quotations by coaching the team in selecting the best matching HW solutions. This includes customer specifications review and HW architecture review.
o Responsible for harmonizing the technology strategy, supplier strategy, Lesson Learned, and brand strategy.
• Lead of Technical Issue Investigations:
o Mediate in deep technical HW issues between the customers, suppliers, and engineering centers. This requires the coordination, definition, troubleshooting and communication of critical issues to the stakeholders.
o Play a leading role in deep technical HW issue investigations, organizing stakeholders' meetings, planning the support, describing the issues, leading the root cause analysis, defining actions, etc.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field plus 16 years of experience in the job offered or related positions. Alternatively, employer will accept a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field plus 12 years of experience in the job offered or related positions. Position also requires 4 years of experience in HW embedded systems around SoC, MCU, and DSP, power electronics, and electronic communication busses such as A2B, CAN, LIN, AVB, I2C, I2S, SPI; 3 years of experience with: testing tools like oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, power supplies, audio analyzer; audio products in automotive applications. Position also requires 2 years of experience with HW design tools, such as Cadence/OrCAD, Pspice, Mentor Graphics, and MathCAD; HW development for automotive embedded systems. Telecommuting (remote work) is permitted.
