Braskem America, Inc. seeks a Senior Accounting Analyst in Philadelphia, PA.
Responsibilities to include: Execute monthly accounting close activities of medium and high complexity, and related activities, such as reconciliation and internal controls; Prepare financial statements and footnotes to financial statements; Prepare and post manual journal entries of high and medium complexity; Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations of high and medium complexity; Perform SOX internal controls; Prepare consolidated financial statements and footnotes, which require a strong knowledge of disclosure and reporting standards; Provide support and explanations to external auditors with low or no assistance from leader, which requires experience from leader; Which requires a strong knowledge of IFRS - International Financial Reporting Standards and the petrochemical business; Prepare relevant working papers, including memorandum and analytical reviews, referring and applying the right IFRS standards; and Act as focal point in local and global projects that require accounting knowledge and expertise.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (foreign equivalent). Plus, 60 months of experience in the job offered or related role. Experience with SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley internal controls; IFRS - International Financial Reporting Standards (Specially IAS 1 Presentation of Financial Statements; IAS 37 - Provisions, Contingent Liabilities, and Contingent Assets; IFRS 16 - Leases; IFRS 15 - Revenue Recognition); Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
