Position requires a Master's degree in Comp Sci, Eng, Inf Sys, or a related STEM field & 2 yrs of big data eng exp. Exp must include 2 yrs of exp w/ each of the following: designing & building large-scale distributed data apps using Apache Spark; developing databases & schemas on Cassandra; incl data modeling for high-throughput & low-latency use cases; implementing distributed storage & retrieval using HDFS; orchestrating & scheduling workflows using Oozie; automating deployments & managing configurations using Ansible; tuning the performance of Spark jobs, Cassandra queries, & SQL workloads; conducting code reviews & managing source control using GitHub; applying Agile methodologies, incl sprint planning, iterative development, & continuous delivery; using containerization & CI/CD tools, incl Docker, Kubernetes, & Jenkins; applying data modeling & governance practices; developing & optimizing SQL; using Splunk for log mgmt; applying the Spock Framework for unit testing; working w/ data streaming platforms, incl Apache Kafka; monitoring Spark apps & infrastructure using Prometheus & Grafana; & writing shell scripts for test automation.
Telecommuting is available up to 2 days per week. Job Location: Phoenix, AZ. Rate of Pay: $123,000.00 - $215,250.00 annually.
