Design mech, hyd, struc parts & elec sys for street sweepers. Design parts in fiberglass, PE, or ABS material. Explore, refine, & test regen air sys. Create detailed part & assy dwg. Create BOM for design layout & assy dwg. Provide client tech support for prods. Coord production of func proto & fixt for new designs. Analyze & test proto to ensure qc, safety, & perf stds. Create ECO docs for mfg & cust use. Create ECOs & make related chg to designs & dwgs. Define tech specs that meet perf, cost, & qc reqs. Prog & troubleshoot using CAN comm protocol. Manage ERP records incl item attribs, BOM, & mfg rtgs. Direct fab & install to ensure prods conform to eng design specs. Work w/ x-func teams across affiliates, on large scale projs like prod xfers & electrif tnifs. Provide tech knowl to Purchg to help ID vendors & sources. Collab w/ vendors to clarify dwgs, part specs, and resolve qc issues. Plan, prioritize, & organize work using task mgmt soft.
BSME required. Ability to comm effectively w/ clients, collab with team, & draft tech docs reqd. Ability to wear PPE incl steel-toed shoes reqd. 24 mos work exp as ME reqd, incl min 12 mos exp in the following: use SolidWorks to prod detailed 3D/2D design dwgs; read hyd & elec schem to troubleshoot circuits; design fiberglass, PE & ABS parts; maintain, test & analyze regen air sys; use Std Mfg Proc to push new & existing designs thru x-func workflow that drives downstream cust proc; use Oracle JDE to manage ERP recs; facilitate RFQ & supplier collab reviews w/ vendors; use Asana task mgmt softw to sched & track work. Occasional wknd or eve hrs. Trvl to co and client sites throughout US reqd approx 1 in 6 mos to provide tech svc. Reloc not nec for these trips. $87,110/yr.
