Shelter Homes LLC seeks Risk Management Accountant w/Masters in Business Analytics, Accounting, Finance or related & 1 yr exp to analyze & prepare financial statements, accounting records, & reports for accuracy & compliance; review general ledger transactions to ensure completeness & adherence to internal controls; perform internal control tests & recommend improvements; conduct operational or financial audits to assess compliance & risk exposure; identify fraud, inefficiencies, & control gaps in accounting processes; collaborate w/compliance & legal teams on risk mitigation strategies; support enterprise risk management initiatives & control frameworks (e.g., COSO, SOX); analyze financial trends & variances to identify risks & inform business decisions; lead period-end closings; prepare & present financial report packages & results to management, including analysis of regulatory compliance matters; research technical accounting issues to ensure compliance w/GAAP; maintain fixed asset schedules & ensure accurate accounting of capitalization, depreciation, & disposals.
