Duties include but not limited to conducting supplier quality control audits; assess quality trends, defect data, employ root cause analysis and implement appropriate corrective action. Measure, track supplier performance data. Review customer specifications and ensure the organization is utilizing correct suppliers; Confer with technical personnel to determine supplier qualification requirements, resolve supplier related nonconformances; Provide technical support to suppliers in the QA program requirements. Perform test equipment and tool inspections and calibration as required. Perform other duties but not limited to: the ISO-9001 program, daily manufacturing and QC inspection issues, lean manufacturing initiatives, internal audits, customer and supplier visits or field assessments, testing issues or general QA/QC procedural matters.
Requires a Bachelor's or its foreign equivalent in Industrial, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or related technical degree and 36 months experience in quality assurance. Experience must include: using inspection tools, instruments, and equipment, entering and retrieving data - supplier performance evaluation and statistical data analysis, evaluation of electrical performance losses in Grain Oriented Electrical Steel, CPK analysis, procurement data, working using ISO 9001 standard and quality requirements, performing internal and external audits, documenting, and analyzing Nonconformances, designing inspection procedures, working on root cause analysis, corrective actions. Up to 50% short term domestic/international travel to various unanticipated locations to supplier and customer sites.
