Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. 5 years of experience in job offered or related Automotive Engineering occupation. Experience with Problem Solving techniques such as 8D, 5Y, & Ishikawa; Experience in use of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems, including engineering functions BOMs, & Routings; Experience with Lean Manufacturing Tools such as 5S, 7 Waste, Visual management, Poka Yoke, Standard Work, TPM, SMED, VSM, TPA, Kanban, One piece flow; Experience with software GD&T, AutoCAD & Layout optimizations; Experience with Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) initiatives; Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems; Experience with Automotive Quality Core Tools such as APQP, FMEA, CP, PPAP, MSA & SPC; & Experience with automotive standards IATF: 16949 & ISO 14001. Domestic travel required up to 15%.
