Conduct academic research on statistics, machine learning & optimization of low-latency live trading C++ platform code. Use C++, Python & statistical methods to diagnose errors & make improvements to tools & platforms used for researching algorithm trading. Conduct research on novel machine learning techniques & statistical modeling in trading strategies to improve order placement. Mentor Algo Engineers in the design & troubleshooting of distributed statistical machine learning systems in Python & in hand optimization of C++ code. Create distributed high-performance statistical analysis features for implementation in a hybrid of C++ & Python, & drive adoption of those features across the organization.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field, plus 6 months of experience in the position offered, Algorithm Engineer, or related experience. All required experience must have included: Experience using C++ & Python to diagnose errors & make improvements to distributed tools & platforms. Experience testing, troubleshooting, & modifying software applications to resolve operational issues. Experience with optimization of hybrid C++/Python distributed systems. Employer will accept any amount of professional experience with the required skills.
