Represent clients in connection with merger control filings under Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act & in connection with substantive merger review investigations. Counsel clients regarding compliance risks. Counsel clients regarding filing thresholds, analyze whether transactions must be reported. Prepare responses to regulatory requests & inquiries. Strategize with clients regarding stakeholder engagement plans, liaise with local client teams to facilitate stakeholder communication during merger control review. Prepare antitrust-related advocacy submissions & presentations to antitrust agencies, relevant stakeholders. Liaise with foreign antitrust regulatory counsel to ensure consistency in regulatory strategy, filing content.
Requirements: JD or foreign equivalent or Canadian JD, CA Bar, 1 year of experience in position or 1 year of alternative occupational experience performing complex transactional competition advisory legal duties.
