Enova Financial Holdings, LLC seeks a Software Development Engineer in Test Tech Lead I in Chicago, Illinois.
Duties: Guide teams in defining and refining test strategies and test plans for new and existing features. Collaborate closely with the Product and Engineering teams to develop technical and domain expertise, and apply it to solve testing challenges across the teams. Participate in design, code and test case reviews and provide feedback to improve testability of our systems, as well as quality of our code and tests. Research, implement and improve testing tools and processes for our products and teams. Mentor and train software engineers on various topics to achieve short-term and long-term goals. Analyze defects and gaps in quality to determine how to improve our development process. Responsible for reviewing business requirements, technical requirements, and code changes. Ensures risk mitigation, prioritization, and successful execution of all testing deliverables.
This role requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or its foreign equivalent) plus 3 years of professional software engineering or development experience. Alternatively, role requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or its foreign equivalent) plus 5 years of professional software engineering or development experience. Requires 2 years (or 5 with a Bachelor's) of experience in each of the following: testing APIs, both manually and programmatically; version control and CI/CD tools like Jenkins or CircleCI; developing and maintaining automated tests and frameworks using open source tools/technologies; scaling automated tests and frameworks to meet the needs of multiple teams within engineering; managing test infrastructure and strategy; project management skills with a proven ability to estimate scope, break down problems into deliverable chunks, and pivot when requirements change; leading the testing of complex and high risk projects; and communicating with non-technical team members about progress, challenges, or new ideas. Telecommuting (remote work) is permitted.
