Terracon Consultants, Inc. seeks Staff Engineer in Charlotte, NC.
-Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects.
-Participate in pre-task planning and report any safety issues or concerns to management.
-Maintain quality standards on all projects.
-Manage and execute small projects of minimal complexity.
-Assist in developing the scope of work for routine projects.
-Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, specifications, and other project related documents.
-Analyze data, and perform engineering calculations and analysis for PE review.
-Conduct, coordinate or supervise field investigations, laboratory testing, and evaluation of respective data.
-Develop plans, schedules, conduct, and/or coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work.
-Work closely with senior-level project manager and Professional Engineer of Record to gain project management and engineering experience.
-Make design recommendations, adaptations and modifications for review and consideration by the Professional Engineer of Record.
-Prepare work scope, proposals, reports and plan investigations for approval by senior level professionals.
-Interact with client and project team in developing scope of services and communicating project progress.
-Work under the supervision of a Professional Engineer.
