Thales Avionics, Inc. seeks an In-Service Program Manager in Irvine, CA.
Duties:
• Project/Program Management: Lead projects and programs to analyze issues, make recommendations, define strategies and priorities, and implement optimal solutions for in-service challenges related to the assigned In-flight Entertainment (IFE) system or product line.
• Continuous Improvement Leadership: Drive ongoing enhancements to anticipate potential issues, reduce costs, and improve the quality of products and processes, while contributing to the growth of Aviation Global Services (AGS) business.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate efforts and communications across various stakeholders, including Engineering, Operations, Procurement, and others, ensuring seamless collaboration.
• Communication Management: Create, share, and maintain comprehensive Communication Kits for the assigned IFE system or product line to facilitate clear and effective communication.
• Proactive Issue Detection: Ensure timely detection and prevention of hardware obsolescence and software issues for the assigned IFE system or product line, maintaining service reliability.
• Product Lifecycle Support: Oversee product repairs, provide necessary spares, and manage the assigned IFE system or product line throughout the entire in-service cycle. Ensure contracts with customers are fulfilled while maximizing sustainability, reliability, and profitability.
• Bid Support: Assist Bid Managers (BMs) in preparing their bids and meeting review requirements, providing necessary documentation and support (PPS Slide).
Requires a Bachelor's in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, Systems, Aerospace Engineering, or other relevant Engineering fields plus 5 years of related experience.
Also requires 5 years of experience in the following:
• Experience in relevant fields (Aviation, Avionics, IFE, or SW & HW Dev).
Requires 3 years of experience in the following:
• Experience in a leadership role or coordinating activities from cross-functional teams.
• Experience working with relevant industry standards and regulations, including 4 of the following: ICAO, DO-160, DO-178C, DO-178B, DO-254, ARP, ARINC 628, ARINC 833, ARINC 424, TSO, CS-25, and Part 145.
• Experience tracking, troubleshooting, investigating and resolving hardware, software and system technical issues using tools including JIRA.
• Microsoft applications, including 4 of the following: Teams, PowerBI, Visio, Planner, Project, and Excel.
Requires 2 years of experience in the following:
• Experience as a Project or Program Manager.
Requires 1 year of experience in the following:
• Experience using SAP as main ERP or MRP tool.
