Duties: Drive continual improvement across Cloud Operations for our strategic customers, leveraging automation, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud-native technologies across cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP). Respond to emergencies via Major Incident Management processes, ensuring detailed follow-ups with RCA (Root Cause Analysis) to identify corrective and preventative actions. Implement ITIL best practices across various application operations to improve availability SLAs, security, application performance, and proactive incident response. Continuously improve our observability maturity across our SaaS solutions and demonstrate the ability to deliver the proactive detection and remediation of issues before they are noticeable to external customers using observability tools such as New Relic, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, etc. Collaborate cross-functionally with PowerSchool's engineering, services, and support teams to improve software delivery, configuration, monitoring, and general operation. Identify cloud operations staff development needs and implement a plan to grow and/or train staff in applicable skill sets, specializations, and certifications. Manage regional relationships with key technology vendors and ensure the procurement of high-quality services and team training/enablement. 100% telecommuting permitted within the U.S.
