Duties: Execute on a variety of software engineering projects and applications. Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of designs within time and cost constraints. Determine software systems' performance standards. Modify existing software to correct errors or upgrade interfaces and improve performance. Consistently deliver technical projects of large scope on time with the highest quality while seeking to reduce the complexity of the software engineering system to get more done with less effort. Share knowledge with other software engineers on new technologies and techniques. Work on organizing business and technical knowledge into actionable specifications and to define clear paths to solutions. Provide go-to expertise and advice on our various software systems. Collaborate with others and drive improvements to technical processes that facilitate software engineering team members' productivity. Work to build processes that aid the development of junior software engineers. Contribute to the logistical initiatives of the broader software engineering team, e.g. on team-wide initiatives such as onboarding and overarching architecture design. Partner with technical and non-technical teams to identify software engineering and development opportunities and risks in cross-functional efforts. Communicate technical concepts to non-technical teams, and business logic to technical teams. Consult with stakeholders or other departments on project status, proposals, or technical issues, such as software system design or maintenance. Develop or guide software system testing or validation procedures, programming, or documentation. For technical architecture decisions and projects of strategic importance that involve multiple teams, provide software guidance to enable successful completion. As a product of these discussions, deliver well-thought-out technical software design documents that guide the long-term work of the teams. Prepare reports or correspondence concerning project specifications, activities, or status. 100% telecommuting permitted within the U.S.
