Job Description: Perform engineering duties in planning and designing tools, engines, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment. Responsible for the quality of simulation software. Interact with the Simulator Development, Validation and Application Management teams. Run and analyze the existing simulation suite on various supported platforms and interconnects. Evaluate the new simulator functionality and create Test Plans. Execute the Test Plans and incorporate them into the regression suite. Analyze other areas of low coverage and enhance the suite to cover them. Adapt test suites to exercise Boundary conditions. Document all tests and procedures. Telecommuting permitted.
Job Requirements: Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or in related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation.
Special Requirements: Position requires experience, knowledge or coursework in each of the following skills:
- Programming experience with languages such as C++, Python and UNIX shell scripting;
- CAE/CAD/Engineering software development environment;
- Perform acceptance, functional, application, regression and performance testing;
- Software & CFD experience;
- Principles of Fluid Dynamics; and
- UNIX/Linux environment.
