Under the supervision of a licensed architect. Work on a full range of assignments in supporting the delivery of all project phases and construction administration. Experience in the comprehensive preparation of master plan reports, construction documentation, and the construction process. Develop solutions to technical and design problems following established standards. Incorporate Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects. Ability to grasp design concepts and express them graphically. Build models for client/project team review. Compile data and perform elementary design computations. Perform benchmarking research on programming, comparable projects, and images. Assure HOK document standards are met and archives documents appropriately. Assist the team in construction administration document management. Understand the HOK design process and marketing process and support interview and proposal preparation. Basic understanding of Agreements to work within budget, schedule, work plan, and client constraints. Promote collaborative and innovative culture. Foster a commitment to external and internal client service. Engage in the various design stages of both national and international projects encompassing Healthcare, Public and Private Planning Documents, IT Commercial Campus, Public Parks and Open Space, Community Engagement, University Campus and Stadiums. Generate goals and objectives by engaging with client delegates in presentations and workshops. Conduct in-depth site analysis studies utilizing site photography, base drawings, and diagrams. Create a range of site design alternatives that require the creation of site plans, site sections, 3D digital models, and physical site models. Employ software tools from the Adobe Suite, ArcGIS, Rhino, Grasshopper and SketchUp to shape perspectives and vignettes, and utilize applications like Lumion, Vray, or Enscape to export high-quality rendered images. Thoroughly research and adhere to all relevant local landscape codes for planting design, encompassing stormwater management requirements, water use classification of landscape species (WUCOLS) guidelines, and specific requirements for local plant species. Employ building information modeling software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Land F/X to generate site plan layouts, material specifications, grading plans, planting layouts, and landscape details. Coordinate drawings for proper submission to relevant regulatory agencies to secure various permits. Conduct thorough research on materials and products available in the market and collaborate closely with vendors to seamlessly integrate them into the drawings. Facilitate seamless coordination of drawings with various consultants. Participate actively in meetings to identify and resolve potential conflicts among different design components. Work closely with various design teams in fields like urban design, transportation, retail, and international ventures encompassing multistory and high-rise structures. This endeavor is further enriched by the application of specialized knowledge acquired through certifications such as Green Roof Professional.
