Job Description: Execute daily database requests in PreProd/Stage and Prod environments Participate in DBA on-call rotations Provide DBA support for Bill.com. Work closely with DEV and Datalake teams as a DBA resource setup/Deploy new database environments. Build new and enhance existing automation scripts. Perform applications database administration (Oracle, MySQL) functions including SQL code review, performance analysis, query tuning, database application design, physical data modeling, and developer support. Actively monitor database servers and respond to any alerts. Work with development teams in database design process and make suggestions and/or recommendations based on data manipulation needs of the application. Work with team members to come up with solutions in line with group's standards. Participate in 24x7 on call rotation schedule for various production support, database maintenance, housekeeping, and installs. Collaborate with SRE group as and when situation demands. Diagnose problem areas and come up with solutions and/or workarounds. Evaluate and recommend software products in database management arena. Set up DR and HA strategy and support routine DR testing. Establish database standards for operations, upgrades, migrations, and onboarding new applications and/or clients. Write clear, concise, and well-organized user documentation to maintain standards and procedures. Balance various database infrastructure projects. Own DataGuard Broker configuration and assist with GoldenGate replication support. Telecommuting permitted.
Job Requirements: Master's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or in related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation. Special Requirements: Position requires 2 years of experience in each of the following skills: 1. Database queries; 2. PL/SQL; 3. Oracle Database install, patching, upgrading, and migrating; 4. Monitoring tools, including: Oracle OEM, and AWS CloudWatch; 5. Linux servers, including: RHEL, Suse, and Oracle Linux; 6. Bash Unix shell scripting; 7. Oracle High Availability using Oracle RAC, DataGuard, and GoldenGate; and 8. Performance analysis and tuning. Employment and background checks may be required. Salary: $170,227 to $173,300 per year.
