Radia, Inc. seeks a Stability and Control, Flight Control Laws Lead Engineer in Boulder, CO.
Duties: Perform flight dynamics analysis to verify adherence to requirements in terms of controllability, maneuverability, and aircraft handling qualities. Assess aerodynamic database fidelity and develop flight-based aero model updates. Develop and manage company flight dynamics analysis and simulation tools, from offline desktop simulation to pilot-in-the-loop simulation test rig. Provide flight-control system architecture and hardware performance requirements. Support flight test readiness reviews, envelope expansions and collection of flight test data. Be responsible for the aircraft flight control functional design and architecture within the aircraft digital fly-by-wire flight control system. Coordinate and lead team activities heading into 14 CFR part 25, subpart B certification, including flight control laws requirements validation and verification.
