Design Engineer II-Water/Wastewater – Sherwood Design Engineers Ltd. (San Francisco, CA). Review & critique proposals, plans, or designs related to water or wastewater treatment systems. Design domestic or industrial water or wastewater treatment plants, including advanced facilities with sequencing batch reactors (SBR), membranes, lift stations, headworks, surge overflow basins, ultraviolet disinfection systems, aerobic digesters, sludge lagoons, or control buildings.
Requirements: Bachelor degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering & 1 year experience in each of the following: Water & wastewater treatment plant design using physical, biological, & chemical treatment principles, & Preparation of technical reports & presentations for stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and/or clients, & Operating water or wastewater treatment plants including conducting pilot studies & monitoring, sampling, analysis of water or wastewater constituents, & production of water & wastewater treatment infrastructure drawing sets using AutoCAD, & Water or wastewater process modeling using BioWin or GPS-X simulation software. Knowledge of infrastructure capital & life cycle cost assessment methodologies & knowledge of advanced research methodologies related to water & wastewater treatment.
