Asurion, LLC seeks a Data Scientist 3 in Sterling, VA, to define product improvement opportunities, provide solutions and formulate data science problems. Develop prototypes for new data product ideas and build data pipelines for deployment. Provide solution strategy and make best practice recommendations. Use analytic techniques like advanced data visualizations, machine learning, Natural Language Processing and large-scale optimization to improve Asurion's wireless and retail customers' experiences. Leverage deep understanding of modern machine learning techniques and their mathematical underpinning to regularly invent new and novel approaches to solve problems. Identify and answer important product questions that help improve business outcomes. Design large scale models using Deep Learning, Logistic Regression, Decision Trees, Conjoint Analysis, Spatial models, Time-series models, and Machine Learning algorithms. Work with cross-functional partners to design and execute controlled experiments to quantify the effects of product changes. Analyze and interpret the results. Manipulate and analyze complex, high-volume, high dimensionality data from multiple sources. Communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner to business partners and senior management. Deliver Data Science updates to senior executive audience. Work with stakeholders to find new Machine Learning/AI opportunities. Mentor interns and entry level data scientists.
