StrongDM, Inc. seeks a Software Engineer in Palo Alto, CA:
Design and implement highly concurrent, distributed systems in Go. Design and implement secure protocols, routing, real-time permissions, and auditing systems, APIs, SDKs, and command-line interfaces. Technical design and implementation of all StrongDM front end interfaces (web, mobile, and desktop). Collaborate with product and design teams to consistently deliver experiences to be proud of. Establish and maintain modern and productive Javascript framework choices. Work with the server team to establish secure and performant API request/response shapes. Performance optimization of real-time, high object count web interfaces. Create and maintain technical documentation for new and existing features, including API specifications and database schemas. Design backend systems that can scale effectively with user growth and ensure high availability of services. Keep up with advancements in backend technologies, frameworks, and best practices to continuously improve backend architecture. Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to understand requirements and deliver on project milestones.
Telecommuting permitted.
40 hrs/week. $155,000 to $160,000 per year. Must also have authority to work permanently in the U.S.
