Job duties: Analyze Market Trends: Conduct analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in the supply chain. Negotiate Contracts: Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules. Manage Costs: Develop and implement cost-saving strategies while maintaining quality and reliability of supply. Utilize Technology: Leverage procurement software and other technologies to streamline procurement processes and improve data accuracy. Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring high performance and compliance with company standards. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain to ensure continuity and reliability. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as R&D, engineering, and quality, to support new product introductions and resolve supply chain issues. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Oversee Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve supply chain performance. Trusted advisor: Act as a personal advisor to the Senior Management in Supply chain, Operational procurement, and Logistics related issues. Obsolescence management: Work with internal cross-functional team and suppliers to support redesign and resourcing activities to manage obsolescence and supply chain disruptions. Some telecommuting is permitted. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States and abroad 5% of the time.
