UOP LLC - Develop process design & technoeconomic evaluations which are critical to the development & support of new process technologies from their inception in R&D through the commercialization stage.
Requires: PhD or foreign equivalent in Chemical Engineering or related field + 2 years of experience in modeling, process simulation, process development, or reaction engineering of refining, petrochemicals &/or gas processing applications. Alternatively, employer will accept a Master degree in the above-listed fields + 5 years of experience in modeling, process simulation, process development, or reaction engineering of refining, petrochemicals &/or gas processing applications, or a Bachelor degree in the above-listed fields + 7 years of experience in modeling, process simulation, process development, or reaction engineering of refining, petrochemicals &/or gas processing applications.
Full term experience must include: experience & capability in statistics, experimental design, data analytics, & advanced parameter estimation & numerical methods; familiarity with machine learning, data science tools & algorithms; computer programming skill; knowledge of chemical engineering fundamentals including fluid flow, heat transfer, mass transfer & reaction engineering; exposure to UOP technologies; Renewable Fuels/Refining/Petrochemicals/Gas Processing applications; & knowledge of Six-Sigma principles & their use in managing risk & uncertainty. Approximately 10% domestic & international travel required. Telecom permitted up to 2X/week. If offered employment must have legal right to work in U.S. EOE.
