Senior Data Scientist, IBM Corporation, Armonk, NY and various unanticipated client sites throughout the US (Up to 100% telecommuting permitted): Identify use cases leveraging data science and machine learning and break them down into development steps for junior data scientists. Lead the team to perform exploratory data analysis using open-source tools and proprietary solutions. Work closely with clients and project managers on the definition of phases, tasks, outputs highlighting the role of business and data understanding, preparation, modeling, evaluation, and deployment for analytic projects. Perform data selection, imputation, feature generation and transformations, merging and reformatting as needed. Work with the team on best approach for the use case and training, testing, and validating a wide variety of machine learning algorithms and models. Embed model monitoring and result explainability into machine learning solutions to enhance the models' trust and transparency to make data science results consumable by non-data professionals. Lead strategy discussions and help to design and develop a solution that meets client goals and outcomes as well as debug, troubleshoot, design and implement solutions to complex technical issues. Leverage in predictive modeling, optimization, and/or machine learning analytics techniques using tools/programming languages including Spark as well as ML Deployment capabilities like Docker, Container, Microservices, Kubernetes within a Big data-enabled environment. Implement new, highly scalable platform components and tools leveraging machine learning and deep learning models to solve real-world problems in areas such as speech recognition, natural language processing and time series predictions. Build reports and dashboards for analytics or data science within the Medicare/Medicaid, healthcare and life sciences sectors as well as perform requirements gathering on Medicare data.
Utilize: Python, R, Statistical modeling, Machine Learning modeling, GitHub, ETL, Power BI/Tableau, Snowflake, and SQL. Required: Master's degree or equivalent in Data Science or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master's degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Data Scientist or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing Python, R, Statistical modeling, Machine Learning modeling, GitHub, ETL, Power BI/Tableau, Snowflake, and SQL. $170,998 to $212,000 per year.
