Engineering Technical Product Manager- New York, NY- Evaluate internal user experience & workflows to determine new tools & improvements to existing tools used to support predictive models & our distributed platforms used for researching algorithmic trading. Use Python & Linux command line to program & debug tools used to support development, research & trading. Gather & evaluate data related to internal technical requirements through automated reporting, QA & utilize this data to anticipate future technical needs & monitor or track technical deliverables. Collaborate with Algorithmic Developers & Core Developers across our Algorithmic, Trading Technology, Research & Development teams to set technical strategy & prioritize the development of tools & systems used for algorithmic trading. Establish technical direction, run testing & troubleshooting & allocate resources to our internal libraries & tools that Algorithmic teams use to generate & back-test strategies in our distributed compute cluster. Lead strategic planning for technical direction, design, & development of critical software tools & resources for trading systems.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field, plus 18 months of experience in the position offered or as Senior Technical Program Manager, Technical Program Manager, Senior Software Engineer, Software Engineer or related experience. All required experience must have included: Experience managing software projects & issue-tracking using JIRA. Experience utilizing Python, Pandas, Airflow to engineer data pipelines, & analyze data. Experience troubleshooting software & hardware systems & resolving operational issues, including investigating complex distributed systems. Employer will accept any amount of professional experience with required skills.
