Lead research, analyze, design, develop &/or maintain data sources in support of projects, information needs & business requirements. Perform analysis, validation & interpretation of outputs. Develop solutions & recommendations for improving data integrity issues.
Requirements:
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Analytics, Math, or related quantitative field + 5 years of progressive experience in quantitative analysis or data science positions performing/utilizing the following:
- Advanced understanding of statistical methods, including a broad understanding of classical statistics, probability theory, econometrics, time-series, & primary statistical tests
- Linear algebra concepts for optimization, complex matrix operations, eigenvalue decompositions, & principal components
- Data analytics life cycle methodologies, including data cleansing & preparation methodologies, including regex, filtering, indexing, interpolation, & outlier treatment
- Data extraction in a variety of environments, including SQL & JQuery
- Data warehousing & transactional application data concepts & technology
- Data engineering & ability to manage large data volumes
- Managing multiple projects with tight deadlines in a collaborative environment
- Utilizing the following:
- Database environments: IBM DB2, Oracle, Netezza, Hadoop, & Hive
- Technical programming skills with: SQL, SAS, & Toad
- Applied Data Science Tools: R, Python, & SAS E-Miner
- Data visualization & BI tools: Tableau & MicroStrategy
Alternatively, employer will accept a Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Analytics, Math, or related quantitative field + 3 years of experience in quantitative analysis or data science positions performing/utilizing the aforementioned.
Position may be eligible to work remotely but is based out of & reports to Truist offices in Atlanta, GA. Must be available to travel to Atlanta, GA regularly for meetings & reviews with manager & project teams within 24-hours' notice.
