Secondary Chinese Dual Immersion Teacher

Duties: Teach Chinese literacy and Utah core subjects to secondary school students (grades 9-12) in Mandarin Chinese, including AP Chinese, dual language immersion, and concurrent courses.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Second Language Teaching, Chinese, or related degree
Foreign equivalent degree accepted
Eligible for Utah Professional Educator License or LEA specific license
Must be able to demonstrate Mandarin Chinese fluency at the level necessary to teach the academic curriculum through either:
- Obtaining an Advanced Mid OPI score
- Passing the Praxis exam
- Obtaining a certificate of proficiency through the Utah Foreign Language Association
Must be willing to submit to a background check
