Two Sigma Investments, LP seeks Software Engineer in NY, NY. Includes but not limited to building, maintaining & improving high-frequency, low-latency & robust live market data ingestion & distribution systems that connects most markets in world with Two Sigma. Designing & implementing software components to process incoming market data & produce both historical & live market data artifacts for research.
Job Requirements:
Note: Company "Hybrid" work attendance policy: In-office work attendance required at aforementioned office address for collaboration days based on each team's requirement; telecommuting / working from home permissible for remainder of same month. Must have Bachelor's or equivalent in CS, Electrical Engineering or related field. Position does not require specific years experience but requires listed skills.
Must have demonstrated knowledge of:
- Developing high-performance, low-latency software using C/C++
- Object-oriented programming using Java
- Writing automation & utility scripts using Python
- Distributed real-time systems
- Relational database management systems (MySQL & PostgreSQL) & SQL programming
- Developing software on Unix systems
- Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- Version control tools (Git)
- Unix command line & Bash shell scripting
- Networking, connectivity, & Linux server technologies
- Financial instruments & market microstructures involved in trading
Must pass company's required skills assessment. Employer will accept any amount of coursework or experience with required skills.
