Structural Project Designer 1 for IMEG Consultants Corp for our San Francisco, CA location. May telecommute up to 2 days/week and more frequently as necessary, after 3 months fully in-person employment. Lead design efforts as project manager or lead engineer for low to moderate complexity projects & collaborate with senior staff for larger & higher complexity projects. Work with team to provide engineering solutions to clients.

Little travel within state & region may be involved to job sites & attend meetings (up to 60 days/year, length of single trip not to exceed 5 days) which involves limited exposure to outside weather conditions & loud noises.
Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, see, hear, & lift objects up to 25 lbs. Occasionally required to kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach with hands or arms, & grasp or pull.
Requirements:
Must have Bachelor's in Engineering (Civil, Structural, or Architectural) or related field; 3 years relevant experience in building design consulting industry; & required skills.
Alternatively, must have Associate's in Engineering (Civil, Structural, or Architectural) or related field; 7 years relevant experience in building design consulting industry; & required skills.
Alternatively, must have Certificate in Building Information Modeling (BIM) or Engineering or related field; 7 years relevant experience in building design consulting industry; & required skills.
Requires skills (3 years experience) in: design techniques, tools, & concepts involved in production of technical plans & specifications; principles in mechanics & materials, load paths, design techniques, design standards (including steel, concrete, wood, masonry) & concepts involved in structural systems of buildings & structures; standard engineering software & tools including structural engineering design & analysis software (Finite Element Modeling software for designing structures with concrete or steel analysis); BIM software; MS Word; MS Excel.
