Build and improve implementation data platform framework to enable reporting of sales & orders to customers of Talech POS solution.
Requirements:
Requires at least a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or Software Engineering + 5 years experience as Senior Data Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, Big Data Engineer or related + 5 years experience with:
- Designing
- Developing
- Testing
- Operating and maintaining products
- Taking full stack ownership by consistently writing production-ready and testable code
- Creating optimal design adhering to architectural best practices
- Considering scalability, reliability & performance of systems/contexts
- Performing analysis on failures
- Proposing design changes
- Encouraging operational improvements
- Making sound design and coding decisions keeping customer experience in forefront
- Taking feedback from code review and applying changes to meet standards
- Conducting code reviews to provide guidance on engineering best practices
- Ensuring compliance with development practices
- Ensuring all aspects of product development follow compliance & security best practices
- Reviewing tasks critically and ensuring appropriate prioritization and sizing for incremental delivery
- Anticipating and communicating blockers and delays
- Utilizing: Java; Python; Spark/PySpark; Kafka; AWS; Docker; Airflow; Apache Druid; EMR; S3; Kubernetes; Big Query; & MySQL
Experience may be gained concurrently. Position may allow work from home within commuting distance of worksite.
